The Capitan Farmers’ Market is located in the parking lot of the Windy City – Dog in a Garden restaurant in the Capitan Country Emporium building at 115 Smokey Bear Blvd, which is across from the Smokey Bear Historical Park. The market is open each Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM during the season, which is typically between mid July through the end of September. The Agri-Tourism Advisory Council (ATAC), a 501(c)3 organization, which sponsors the market; ATAC’s vision is “Preserving agricultural heritage through tourism.” The market is open to both large and small producers of agricultural items in Lincoln County.
